Chilton Grounds Farm is a sustainably managed, nature-friendly farm comprising 150 acres of well-preserved ridge-and-furrow pastures and traditional hay meadows in rural Buckinghamshire. For over 100 years, four generations of the family have kept cattle and sheep here, carefully managing the grazing to maintain the soils, species-rich pastures and biodiversity of this beautiful landscape. The farm has a high-health, high-welfare flock of 100 breeding ewes, including 70 Wensleydales, a rare native breed they are dedicated to preserving. The rest of the flock consists of Poll Dorsets and Zwartbles. They wash and sort up to 400kg of raw wool on the farm annually, including fleeces taken from six-month-old lambs.
