I run a wool shop in Lancaster, selling mostly British wool – all natural fibres (with the exception of sock wool) with my own line of yarn, made with fleeces from local flocks. I visit farms, learn more about how they work, and produce small-batch, traceable yarn once or twice a year. I have had batches of 250 kilos but mostly around 100 kilos or less. I’ve worked with around 20 farms and maybe 15 different breeds.
